Flexcube Production Support Consultant

Required Skills:

Our client, a leading European bank, plans to hire an experienced Flexcube (FCC) production support consultant. As Flexcube Support Consultant you will be responsible for deployment and support of Flexcube UBS core banking application including the interface components and reports. 

Responsibilities / Key Result Areas (KRA)
- On-call support and maintenance of production, development and testing environments of Flexcube UBS 11.x
- Follow-up with users and support staff on open service requests and problem tickets including email and phone based support calls
- Coordinate with global support team for any issues that may require escalation to Flexcube Global Support
- Support End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-day (BOD) batch operations including rate uploads
- Testing and deployment of the software fixes and minor/major releases received from Oracle Support team
- Maintenance of existing Business Intelligence (BI) reports and developing any new reports as per business requirements 
- Guide the business users on any configuration issues related to the application
- Regular defect status reporting along with any critical issues that may require senior management’s attention
- Follow structured configuration and release processes for applying fixes and software release
- Work closely with the Infrastructure and Database support teams to ensure that core-banking environment is fully secured and optimized for high performance.
 
Key Competencies/Skills 
- 4-5 years of Experience with a mid to large bank in providing Production Support for Flexcube Corporate Application with excellent knowledge of Flexcube working and key modules 
- Must have worked on Flexcube UBS Release 11.x 
- Ability to differentiate between software bugs and incorrect configuration or platform related issues
- Good exposure to FLEXCUBE corporate database and application architecture
- Excellent programming skills in Java, SQL, PL/SQL, Forms and Reports
- Strong exposure to BI universes, Dashboard and Web Intelligence tools with ability to develop and support complex BO reports 
- Understanding of basic Unix/Shell scripting commands will be an advantage 
- Highly developed, process-oriented skills for troubleshooting, problem solving, and problem resolution with ability to perform root cause analysis 
- Should be able to determine priority and urgency of support issues and set priorities accordingly
- Ability to work in a high pressure and time-sensitive environment; extended working hours may be required as dictated by business needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong experience with application support, configuration, and troubleshooting
 
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
